The recently introduced Grok AI bot integrated into X (formerly Twitter) has garnered attention for its potential in crypto research, but a DeFi analyst, known as @DefiIgnas, emphasizes that the tool is not flawless yet.
In experiments, Grok demonstrated competence in outlining the core milestones of the Frax (FRAX) stablecoin roadmap and humorously “roasting” social media content by @DefiIgnas. However, when it came to identifying potential crypto airdrops, the bot made some errors, including listing concluded campaigns and promotional efforts by centralized exchanges.
Finding trending tokens emerged as a “weak spot” for Grok, with the analyst expressing dissatisfaction and noting irrelevant information and mentions of obscure tokens. The DeFi researcher cautioned that Grok might contribute to the creation of echo bubbles for X users.
While AI-powered chatbots like Grok and its rival ChatGPT offer significant potential for crypto research, the analyst underscores the importance of using them responsibly. He highlights that these tools should not serve as the sole basis for trading, investing, or tech development strategies. AI chatbots excel at simplifying smart contracts and explaining basic tech concepts but may provide inaccurate or misleading answers when it comes to complex processes. Users are urged to approach AI-generated insights with caution and conduct thorough research independently.
